The teens of Evergreen West meet twice per month for teaching, social interaction, and small group discussions. We also have several opportunities to serve others through community outreach projects, fundraisers, etc. Check the announcements for meeting times and locations. Contact Tom Butz for more information.
Conferences give students the chance to break away from their normal daily routines and environments, have some fun while experiencing a spiritually impactful extended time.
Winter Conference
The Winter Conference is a weekend conference in mid-January, held near McGregor, MN. It’s a time for Jr. High (6th-8th grade) students to kick back and spend time together in an extended time of worship, Biblical teaching, and fellowship. Snow tubing and broom ball are among some of the winter activities the students can enjoy. It's definitely one of the highlights of the year that the Jr. High students and leaders look forward to!
Spring Conference
The Spring Conference is a weekend conference in mid-April, held near McGregor, MN. It’s a time for Sr. High (9th-12th grade) students to kick back and spend time together in an extended worship, Biblical teaching, and fellowship. It's definitely one of the highlights of the year.
High School Leadership Training (HSLT)
High School Leadership Training (HSLT) is a summer conference for 9th grade and up that is held in Fort Collins, Colorado in conjunction with our Northwest Regional Churches. Students grow deeper in the 3D aspect for “Delivering the Gospel” as they go deeper in their understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ and practice the Great Commission.
Service Opportunities such as Mission to the City and participating in local Servfest community kindness projects provide an opportunity for students to get a “mission trip” type experience right here at home. These events give students a chance to work hard while building relationships with others in the youth group. We have found when it comes to serving, it is truly “better to give than receive.”
Short Term Missions give students and their parents a chance to live out the “Great Commission” given in Matthew 28:19 where Jesus says, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
These week long excursions usually combine a service project, for example digging a drainage system, with outreach activities such as dramas and puppet shows. Students also get a chance to experience the joy of sharing the Good New of Jesus Christ with those in a foreign country. This is a challenging and encouraging time that is not soon forgotten. Visit our Short Term Missions page for information on upcoming trips throughout our five locations.
